Mandarin Gold

Aloha~

This is the first Mandarin Gold beer bottled by our friends Tom and Jayne Kerns, owners of Big Island Brewhaus. The mandarins used are from our backyard, yum. 300 pounds from our lovely organic tree! The honey is organic local from this island, too. 8% alcohol is pretty knarley, but so yummy. We will save it for 3 months to let it age well!

  3. Jerky Fool!!! It's all about balance. You need the protein for sustained energy/recovery and the salt for electrolyte replenishment. The CO2 will speed up the body's uptake of both; the alcohol numbs the pain caused by skipping group rides and the reality that you're a grown man clad head to toe in spandex... I'd say its the perfect pairing
